This tutorial assumes you have logged into the WordPress Admin Area like the one displayed below:

Click on the Plugins link found on the main menu, you will enter a plugin page like this one below.

Plugins are add ons for our wordpress site which expands the options available.
We can activate individual plugins by clicking the Activate link besides their description as seen in the above picture, or you can deactivate all plugins by clicking at the bottom right of the page like this below.

If there is a newer version to a  plugin, there will be a link you could use to download it like the one you see below.

There may be other plugins available to you, you can find them by clicking on the WordPress plugin directory like the one shown below.

Now click on the Plugin Editor link

From here you can edit plugins. This is only for advanced users as editing here can break the plugin rather easily.
