How to backup your database in phpBB

Assuming you have already logged into phpBB. Click on the maintenance link found on the main menu.

Then click on the backup link found on the left side of your screen, under Database.

Select whether you want to backup everything, just the structure of the forum, or just the data.

You can backup in gzip or text format.

As you scroll down you will find a table select, now select the tables within your forum that you want to backup, tables can be selected individually or all at once by clicking Select all found at the left bottom of the table select as shown below.

Then click submit to start your backup, a new window will open like the one shown below click on save file and click Ok.
