Create New Fireworks Document

To create a new Fireworks Document, select ‘File > New’  from the main menu.

Enter the following:

Width: 1000
Height: 600

Create New Fireworks Document

Click OK

A new blank new document will open. The workarea will look as follows:

Save the Fireworks Document

  • Select ‘File’ from the main menu
  • Select ‘Save’
  •  Give it a name e.g. website-layout
  • It will save the file with the extention .png. This is the Fireworks source file.
